L'oreal sublime bronze self tanner Tinted lotion

I purchased this product in Deep from walmart for about 9$ you can find decent printable coupons if you plan ahead to save a few :) I liked that this tanner was tinted so I could control where I applied easier than I could with a clear spray or lotion. To prep I showered and exfoliated and did not apply any lotions as this can cause streaking. The tanning lotion smelled nice and was not overpowering, with all self tanners there is a slight odor that I can only described as baked..to avoid smelling like this I apply my self tanner at night and shower again to rinse it off in the morning. There is a really pretty shimmer to this tanning lotion that looked nice and I took it as a cute bonus to my tan :) There was some slight streaking on my legs after a few applications but that was the only problem I had. The lotion was super easy to apply and I got about 6 applications from one bottle which saved me a ton since I usually pay 12 per spray tan at a local salon. The color looked natural but I am a medium skinned girl who tans easily, if you are lighter in complexion I recommend going with a lighter version. It comes in light to med, med to dark and deep using the appropriate color will prevent you from going orange. I will continue to buy this lotion and avoid the crazy costs of spray tans and cancer risks in the tanning beds. I did not have any problems with staining or discoloration from the tanner fading or wearing off, I have had major issues with discoloration to where it actually looked like I had a skin disorder from other products.

A few tips for application:
shower and exfoliate first
shave before applying as this fades your tan
do not use moisturizers before applying

To avoid staining on your wrists/hands wear gloves when applying to body and apply tanner to wrists with a cotton pad OR apply baby oil to your hands, apply tanner to your body as usual, wash hands while carefully avoiding splashing your arms/body, blend arm and wrist area by applying tanner with a cotton pad.

Over time you will perfect application through experience, I don't recommend using any self tanner for the first time before a major event.
